To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other, and to feel. That is the purpose of life.

About Moonlight Pouring

My journey as an artist began with weekly art classes I attended with my Dad when I was 8. This tradition continued until I moved in with my dad in my teenage years and art class was held every weekend in dad's garage. Almost 10 years after he departed this world, and his hand is still visible in our lives and in my work.

Moonlight Pouring uses my dad's company's namesake as a nod to all he taught me about life, art, and business. In the spirit of our homegrown business style and commitment, I create my abstract fluid art in the dining room of the apartment I share with my boyfriend and our cat Sophia.

My work is inspired by nature, science, and visually stunning photos and videos like aerial and macro photography, deep space images, and everyday objects and experiences. In an effort to minimize my carbon footprint, I utilize tools like glassware and up-cycled objects instead of single-use disposal items (another habit I must have picked up from Dad).

I enjoy every part of the process, from selecting and preparing the paints and canvas to cleaning and sealing the finished painting. While I've spent most of my life creating art, Moonlight Pouring is my first venture as a professional artist and I'm thrilled (and a little terrified) about this new journey as well as all of the new lessons I have ahead of me.

Finished acrylic on canvas pieces are available at www.moonlightpouring.com/ year-round, but private gallery showings are held quarterly, and commission pieces are welcome (take a look at our commission process for more information).

Please connect with me on Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram to see behind-the-scenes photos and videos as well as upcoming events.
